Original author description:

Aramasa is a sword that Takehaya Susanoo no Mikoto used to kill the eight headed snake Yamata no Orochi. Susanoo found the Kusanagi no Tsurugi sword inside one of Yamata’s tails. It is, however, given the name "Blood-Scythe" in Ragna's movelist.
