Emily shields David from Novus

"If you want to kill him, you're gonna have to get through me first!" Emily shouted, trying to sound as brave as she could. The reality was that she was shaking in terror at the sight of the divine being before her.

"Emily, no! Get out of here... please...!" David grunted, but he only had half a heart of health left and could only watch as Novus charged up an attack.

"A hooman... standing before death to save another hooman?" Novus questioned, curious about this woman that had ran between them.

The Hero of Legacy had fought well, but ultimately failed to defeat Novus. As the Great Spirit prepared an attack to finish him off, a woman ran between them, raising her arms out protectively. Why would she do such a thing? She was sure to die, but yet she stood in the way of its attack anyway. Was it possible that she cared about the man? Were hoomans even capable of actions such as selflessness? Novus pondered these things.

"Is this... is this what love is?" Novus asked. "Hoomans willing to die for each other?"
