The 7.65×53mm Mauser was developed by Paul Mauser in 1889 and became one of the first successful smokeless powder military cartridges. It was adopted by countries like Argentina, Belgium, and Turkey, and used in rifles such as the Mauser 1891 and FN Model 24/30. Known for its flat trajectory and accuracy, it was eventually phased out by nations in favor of newer calibers like 7.92×57mm Mauser or 7.62×51mm NATO.
