Based on real life Tu-160's design, the Tupolev Tu-160 (NATO reporting name: Blackjack) is a supersonic, variable-sweep wing strategic bomber developed by the Soviet Union in the 1980s. It remains the largest and heaviest Mach 2+ combat aircraft ever built. Designed for long-range nuclear and conventional strikes, it features variable-geometry wings, allowing it to optimize aerodynamics for both high-speed and long-endurance flight. Powered by four NK-32 afterburning turbofan engines, it has an operational range exceeding 12,000 km without refueling. The Tu-160 is armed with cruise missiles and has undergone modernization to improve avionics, weaponry, and survivability.
