Thrall Remnant​

The Thrall is a harrowing, grotesquely mutated subclass of Remnant. Perhaps the most disturbing and recognizable trait of a Thrall is its unnaturally elongated spinal column, allowing for an eerie, near-360 degree rotation of its torso. This bizarre anatomy is made possible by the influence of a Scarlet Idol, which sometimes compels a Remnant to scavenge for Caedomorphic flesh to graft onto its body. Over time, the abomination reshapes itself into a Thrall.

While incredibly flexible and resilient, the Thrall’s malformed biology reduces its gait to a dragging crawl. Even when sprinting as fast as its decaying muscle fibers will permit, a Thrall has no hope of pursuing prey over open ground. Instead, these creatures are made for ambush. They linger in the shadows of derelict halls or abandoned substructures, folding themselves into the space behind opened doors or broken walls. There they wait, before hurling themselves forward and seizing their victims with grasping tendrils.
