Goal: move a model into its intended workflow without losing the editable source.
1. Save the editable Blockbench project separately from exported files. Keep its textures beside a dated backup.
2. Identify the destination before choosing an export format: a Minecraft block or item, a plugin-specific animated model, a render, or another game engine.
3. Check that the project type supports that destination. A generic 3D export and a Minecraft-specific export solve different problems.
4. Export a simple test model first. Use a clear texture and an obvious scale so mistakes are easy to see.
5. Open the exported result in the destination tool or game. Check missing textures, scale, orientation and any animation you require. An editor preview alone cannot confirm compatibility.
6. Follow the destination's exact version and file-layout requirements. Change one setting, export again and compare the result.
When asking for help, include your Blockbench project type, destination and version, export choice, an editor screenshot and an in-game screenshot. Share only project files and textures you have permission to publish.
