A good help request gives other server owners something they can reproduce.
Copy this checklist into your post:
Take a backup of the world, plugins and configuration. Verify that you can restore it. Reproduce the problem on a separate copy where possible, then change one thing at a time. Keep the original configuration so you can compare it.
Before sharing logs
Remove passwords, API tokens, private player information and connection addresses you do not want public. Avoid posting a full private configuration when a short relevant section will do.
For performance problems, describe player count and when the slowdown occurs. A capture while the problem happens is more useful than a quiet-server screenshot.
Useful references: Paper setup documentation and spark's lag-spike guide.
Reply with your server problem, or start a new Help discussion so the solution is easy to find later.
Copy this checklist into your post:
- Server software and exact build: Paper, Spigot or another distribution.
- Minecraft version, Java version and relevant plugin versions.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- The smallest set of steps that reproduces the problem.
- The first relevant console error, with a little context before it.
- What you have already tried, and whether it changed the result.
