This is a simple edit to change the css for sticky threads only.

Add this to EXTRA.css:

.discussionListItem.visible.sticky,
.discussionListItem.visible.sticky .posterAvatar,
.discussionListItem.visible.sticky .stats {
background: @inlineMod;
font-style: italic;
}
